We are deeply grateful for your prayers and generous contributions.
21 Nov 2024 We are delighted to share that Pastor Christadas' surgery for his left hip replacement, using ceramic and stainless steel implants, was successfully completed on the morning of November 20th at Shanti Hospital and Research Center. The 5+ hour procedure went smoothly, and by God’s grace, everything happened on time without any complications.
The doctors have now advised proceeding with the right hip replacement after one month to ensure a full recovery. Praise be to God for His faithfulness, and thank you all for your continued prayers, love, and support. Your generosity has been a true blessing to our family.
19 Nov 2024 Pastor Christadas has been admitted to Shanti Hospital, and his surgery is scheduled for the morning of November 20th, starting at 6:00 AM. We ask for your continued prayers for a smooth and successful surgery.
16 Nov 2024 Due to ongoing renovation of the operation theatre at Sevakshetra Hospital, we made the decision as a family to proceed with the surgery at Shanti Hospital and Research Centre. This hospital offers better facilities and the same trusted team of doctors will perform the procedure. Considering the time and other constraints, we believe this was the best decision for Pastor Christadas' care, even though it comes with slightly higher costs.
15 Oct 2024 The renovation of the operation theatre is currently in progress, and we are awaiting its completion before moving forward with the surgery. We appreciate your continued support during this time. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for the next steps in his treatment.
9 Oct 2024 We are pleased to share that all of Pastor Christadas' pre-operative test results have come back normal. The doctors have reviewed the reports and have recommended proceeding with the surgery. We are grateful for this positive news and continue to trust in God's provision as we move forward. Thank you for your continued prayers and support during this time.
My father, Pastor Christadas, is 61 years old and has spent his life faithfully serving God and others. Early in his life, he taught at a seminary, which not only shaped his deep faith but also helped him support our family. Since then, his work has been a living example of Christ’s love in action. He’s now facing a severe challenge—he has been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both hips, which has left him in unbearable pain with every step. Doctors have advised an urgent total hip replacement surgery to restore his mobility and alleviate his suffering. However, the cost of the surgery and recovery is beyond what we can afford, and we are turning to God and to you for help.
For as long as I can remember, my dad has devoted himself to serving others in God’s name. From driving people to the hospital in the middle of the night to organizing disaster relief during the North Karnataka floods, his life has been a reflection of Christ’s love and care for people in need. During the COVID-19 lockdown, he worked tirelessly to deliver ration packs to those who were desperate for support, always going beyond what was expected, trusting God to guide his steps.
Through it all, my father has not sought recognition or reward. His mission has always been to glorify God through his work—whether comforting those in pain, building up communities, or simply being there for someone in need. Over the years, he has led a handful of community-building projects, each one grounded in faith that God would provide for the work that needed to be done.
Now, in this moment of trial, we are trusting God to provide once again. My father’s diagnosis includes:
Severe narrowing of joint spaces in both hips
Cystic changes and reduced bone density
Degenerative changes in his sacroiliac joints
Though the pain is great, my father’s faith remains strong. The doctors have outlined a path to recovery, starting with the total hip replacement surgery, followed by medication, physiotherapy, and regular check-ups. With God’s grace and the help of kindhearted people, we are hopeful that he will be able to walk again, free from pain, and continue the work God has called him to do.
As a family, we are doing everything we can. My mother has worked as a staff nurse for 31 years, caring for people both at the hospital and in our neighborhood, all while supporting our family. I have completed my master’s in nursing and am a mother of one, with another child on the way. My brother is pursuing his PhD in disaster management and has been blessed with a scholarship to continue his studies, with hopes of serving in international disaster relief wherever a crisis arises.
But we need to raise ₹5 Lakh for the surgery and recovery, and we are reaching out to you in faith, asking for your support.
We believe that God’s love is shown through the kindness and generosity of His people. By helping my father, you are not only giving him relief from his pain, but you are also enabling him to continue his ministry—touching lives and serving others for God’s glory. Every contribution, no matter the size, is a blessing and an answer to our prayers.
Thank you for standing with us, for your prayers, and for helping my father continue walking in God’s light, both literally and spiritually.
With gratitude and faith,
Christina

I am Christadas Mathias, a first-generation Christian, and I stand as a testimony to God’s grace and guidance. Born into a poor family in a village, I was brought up in hostels where, even as a child, God planted in me a deep desire to serve others. In the hostel where I lived with 120 children, I found joy in helping wherever I could—whether it was fixing electrical issues or plumbing problems. Though no one asked, and no professionals were available, I offered my skills freely because I felt God’s hand leading me to serve others even in the smallest ways.
This heart for service continued throughout my time in seminary, but during my youth, I strayed from my faith. It was at a camp meeting that God called me back to Him, and I recommitted my life to the Lord. It was during this time that I felt God’s unmistakable call to ministry. When I saw the spiritual needs of my district—the few churches, the low percentage of Christians, and the lack of ministers—God stirred my heart deeply.
Though I was a trained electrician with aspirations of working in the Gulf, I could not ignore God’s call. At first, I tried to resist, but the Holy Spirit moved powerfully within me. On January 24th, 1983, I surrendered completely to God’s will, saying "yes" to His call on my life.
Since that day, it has been God who has led me every step of the way. I began by reaching out to the district where He had called me, working as an individual for His Kingdom. Later, God opened doors for me to join the Campus Crusade Film Team, which further expanded my ministry. As I pursued my theological studies, earning a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.), God called me to church planting. Through His power, I was able to help develop congregations and build a church, fulfilling His purpose for that community.
God continued to guide me in my theological journey, leading me to complete a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.). Over the years, it was by His grace that I was able to teach and train around 600 individuals, equipping them for ministry, both in seminaries and in the field. It was God who gave me the strength and wisdom to nurture these future leaders.
As I pursued my Master of Theology (M.Th.) in Missiology, God entrusted me with even greater responsibilities. Through His provision, I was able to raise resources and build teams, not only from the church I pastor, but from other places as well. By God’s grace, we built five additional church buildings to serve His people.
None of this has been by my strength, but by the grace of God. Every step of the way, God has been my provider, my guide, and my source of strength. The work I’ve been able to accomplish is a testament to His faithfulness, His calling, and His constant providence.
